Monday.
Okay, here goes.
On Monday, we had a kind of prepared walk. Meaning we started at Westminster, saw Big Ben and the Abbey. We went to Downing Street (yaaay…a gate!) and stared at the Horse Guards for a few. Stupid job, but they signed up for it… Down the road was Trafalgar Square (DH II!) and because no one wanted to go to the Portait Gallery, we just moved on to Leicester Square and were free from there on.
The first part of the day wasn’t that exciting, partly because I’d seen lots of the stuff before but also because our supervisors were just so tense. I mean, okay, guarding a bunch of girls isn’t easy but we’re adults, we can look after ourselves, FFS.
Anyways, Leicester Square was just paradise for me. We ate at the Noodle Stop (which looks way better now. I really don’t know how old this picture is…and it’s not mine..). I ate there in 2009 aswell, so I was really excited to see that it was still there. You pay £6 and one meal is enough for two people.
Moving on from there, LisER, LucER, Katron & me went looking for a Starbucks. Down the road and many many pidgeons later we found one in the Trocadero. We went in there because I remembered it being slightly weird but alrighty. Turned out that it’s kind of a dead place. No one is in there - no one. The people just sit in their shops and hope that people get lost and end up in there…Kind of sad, really. But I still liked it.
They had this weird fish there, that were supposed to clean your feet…Hm.
So we were at Piccadilly and it’s just huge and buzzing and even that pink donut shop thingy is still there! I didn’t think it’d be because it’s simply…small and expensive and even a little ughish. But it is there! A friend told me beforehand that we just had to get a Cinnabon. And we did and it was heaven! They are - again - too expensive but so yummy!
We also met a very nice man who was advertising some kind of dressup shop or something. And he wasn’t even mad when we said no!
